Get the look of hardwood with a tough, scratch-resistant surface and a more budget-friendly price. We install laminate so it looks right and sounds right.
Modern laminate looks far more convincing than the laminate of twenty years ago. Embossed textures, realistic wood visuals, and hard wear surfaces make it a strong option for living areas, bedrooms, and busy homes on a budget.
Laminate is a floating floor, so the details underneath matter. A flat subfloor, the right underlayment, and proper expansion space are what keep it from sounding hollow, separating at the joints, or buckling. We take care of all of that before the first plank goes down.
Laminate fills a useful middle ground between hardwood and LVP. It tends to be the right call in these situations.
Laminate delivers realistic wood visuals at a lower material cost than most hardwood floors.
A hard wear layer stands up well to pets, furniture, and daily foot traffic.
Dry, above-grade rooms are where laminate performs best and lasts the longest.
Laminate is a cost-effective way to replace worn carpet or dated flooring before listing a home.
Laminate and LVP often look similar on the sample board, but they are built differently. Laminate has a wood-based core with a hard, scratch-resistant surface and a solid feel underfoot. LVP has a vinyl or rigid waterproof core and handles moisture better.
For bedrooms, living rooms, and other dry spaces, laminate is often a great value. For kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements, LVP is usually the safer recommendation. We help you weigh both for each room.
You do not need every decision made before contacting us. Here is what to expect from first visit to finished floor.
We measure the space and help you compare laminate products, thickness, and underlayment.
Old flooring is removed when included in your scope, and the subfloor is cleaned and flattened.
Underlayment goes down, then planks are laid with staggered joints and proper expansion space.
Transitions and baseboards are finished, the site is cleaned, and we walk the floor with you.
Laminate is one of the more budget-friendly floors, but these factors still shape the final price.
Clear scope and pricing before any work begins. Financing is available for qualifying projects.

I had a great experience with Trademark Flooring. I had them replace carpet in the basement with LVP. Partway through the install they found an issue with the under pad and ended up have to pull out the installed product and re install. They made sure the finished product was correct, even though it cost more time. Even with this, they delivered on the original bid. Highly recommended.Posted on Google![]()

I recently purchased a house that unfortunately had damaged tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, along with worn-out LVP flooring in the living room. I hired Trademark Flooring to replace all of it using Mohawk SolidTech Plus LVP, and they did an absolutely amazing job from start to finish. Their installation crew demoed the old flooring incredibly fast and did a flawless job laying out and arranging the new luxury vinyl planks for a beautiful, seamless look across the entire first floor, as well as the upstairs bathrooms. We hit an unexpected delay that wasn’t their fault at all - once an upstairs bathroom floor was pulled up, we discovered a hidden plumbing leak that had damaged the plywood subfloor. Trademark immediately stepped up, pausing their work and recommending other contractors that were able to quickly do the repair work. My project manager, Carter, did a phenomenal job communicating and managing the timeline to get everything back on track quickly. If you are looking for premium luxury vinyl plank installation or reliable flooring contractors in the Salt Lake City area, I highly recommend Trademark Flooring. They provide top-tier workmanship and great customer service! Note - in the photos the base boards and the two risers need to be painted still.Posted on Google![]()

Carter did an amazing job! We had a few small issues during the install, but Carter made sure everything was fixed and did so in a timely manner. Even after we paid the final invoice and noticed something afterwards he still got it fixed quick.Posted on Google![]()

Practical answers to the questions we hear most before a project starts.
Most laminate is not fully waterproof, though many newer products are water-resistant and handle everyday spills. For rooms with regular moisture, LVP is usually the better option.
Yes, with matching stair nosing. Stairs take more time and detail than flat areas and are priced separately.
Hollow or clicking sounds usually come from an uneven subfloor or the wrong underlayment. Proper prep and a quality underlayment make a noticeable difference.
Many laminate projects are completed in one to three days depending on size and preparation.
Laminate can sometimes go over flat, hard surfaces like vinyl or tile, but never over carpet. We check your existing floor during the estimate.
Yes. Our installation work is backed by a 2-year labor warranty, separate from the manufacturer’s product warranty.
